Peas Tofu curry - Tried and Tasted
>> Wednesday, July 21, 2010
When I read about the Giveaway from Versatile kitchen, that wanted us to try any recipe from the blog.. The recipe that caught my eye was Muttar tofu/ Peas tofu curry.. It's because I was having a pack of tofu left in my fridge that needs to be used sooner. Its not only the same dish.. Its the same story too.. :)
This dish is quiet simple dish, that serves a great combo with pulav or chapathis. I have followed the same recipe as that of Champa, except for few little changes. I have used almonds instead of cashews to make the gravy taste richer.
Also while frying the tofu cubes, I have added salt and garam masala powder to it. Adding garam masala while frying the tofu cubes, changed the flavor of it and also helped to get ride of the raw smell from it. And of course I used just half the amount of oil that used in the original recipe, one Tbsp of oil for the gravy and one more for frying the tofu cubes. Rest of the recipe remains the same.
Simple tasty muttar tofu is ready to be served hot.
